ANNOUNCES A COMPETITION FOR THE POSITION OF

 

assistant

 

in the group of research and didactic employees

 

in the Department of Water Supply, Sewage Systems and Environmental Monitoring

 

at Faculty of Environmental Engineering and Energy

 

 

Type of employment: full-time
Number of positions available: 1
Type of employment contract: fixed-term for 24 months
Scientific discipline represented: environmental engineering, mining and power engineering

 

1. Necessary requirements:

  • higher technical education and academic degree of PhD in engineering-technical sciences in the field of environmental engineering, mining and power engineering;
  • experience in scientific research in the field of environmental engineering, mining and power engineering, in particular in the area of water supply, sewage disposal and environmental monitoring, supported by publication achievements;
  • authorship or co-authorship of at least 10 scientific publications in a subject related to water supply;
  • experience in presenting papers at scientific conferences, including international conferences, confirmed by presentations at a minimum of 5 conferences;
  • teaching experience in subject related to water, sewage systems and environmental monitoring;
  • ability to speak English fluently, confirmed by an official language certificate on at least C1 level;
  • Professional experience in a company dealing with municipal water supply and sewage infrastructure (6 years of employment);
  • Proficiency in using computer programs related to: engineering graphics.

 

2. Additional requirements:

  • experience in teaching students;
  • ability to work in a team, including in an international environment.


3. Scope of duties of the position:

Within the scope of teaching activity:

  • conducting classes with students within the scope defined in the CUT Work Regulations;
  • preparing materials for teaching;
  • conducting consultations with students.


In terms of research and organisational activities:

  • carrying out scientific research and disseminating its results;
  • participating in scientific seminars and conferences;
  • preparation of grant proposals and applying for funds for scientific research;
  • improving one's own professional qualifications, including those aimed at obtaining further scientific degrees;
  • active participation in the organizational work of the Department and the Faculty.


4. Documents required:

  • an application to the Rector of the Cracow University of Technology;
  • detailed CV (including previous employment history);
  • list of publications, other academic achievements;
  • photocopies of documents proving education (higher education studies, doctorate);
  • a certificate of completion of a pedagogical course or an undertaking to take it;
  • documents confirming the knowledge of the English language and, in the case of foreigners, also the Polish language.


Employment will take place following a competitive procedure consisting of:

  • analysis of the documentation submitted;
  • interviews (face-to-face or via instant messengers).

The folder (email) with the documents should include the note: Concerns the competition for the position of a research and teaching assistant in the Department of Water Supply, Sewage Systems and Environmental Monitoring Ś-3. The documents should be submitted by 18.10.2021.

 

Deadline for resolving the competition: until 27.10.2021.

 

Cracow University of Technology reserves the right to contact candidates whose applications met the necessary requirements and were evaluated the highest by the Recruitment Committee. Information about the results of the competition will be published on the BIP PK and MNiSW websites.

 

Submitted documents can be collected at the Office of the Dean of the Faculty of Environmental Engineering and Energy, Cracow University of Technology from 29.10.2021 to 04.11.2021. The documents that will not be collected by this date will be destroyed by the commission.
