It is with deep regret that we announce the death of prof. dr hab. inż. arch. Andrzej Białkiewicz, Rector of the Cracow University of Technology. He has been associated with the university for nearly 50 years, since becoming a student of architecture. He has held the position of the Rector since September 2020. Previously, he was the Vice-Rector of the university for two terms and long-term head of the Department of Drawing, Painting and Sculpture at the Faculty of Architecture of the Cracow University of Technology. He combined his scientific and didactic work with a rich architectural practice. He died on Wednesday, March 22nd, in the late evening hours in Krakow.
The community of the Cracow University of Technology says goodbye to its Rector with a great pain. We extend our deepest condolences to the wife, family and friends of Professor Andrzej Białkiewicz.
